Jeffree Star is an American internet celebrity, makeup artist, and is also a beauty vlogger on the popular American video sharing website YouTube. Star is also the founder and owner of Jeffree Star Cosmetics. He has come a long way from his MySpace days, so what is Jeffree Stars net worth?
Who is Jeffree Star?
Born on the 15th of November, Jeffree Star was born to Jeffrey L. Steininger and Marra Shubyann Lindstrom Steininger in Orange County, California. However when Jeffree was just six years old, his father committed suicide, prompting his mother to raise him on her own.
His interest in makeup started when he began playing around with his mother’s makeup at a young age. He then began to wear it outside their home, even convincing his mother to let him wear makeup to school when he was in junior high. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles where he supported himself with various gigs in makeup, modelling, and music.
Rise to Fame
Star’s rise to celebrity status began with MySpace, which he used to jumpstart his music career as well as blog about his personal life. He then went on to release a studio album entitled Beauty Killer in 2009, but left the music industry for unclear reasons in 2013.
Using his life savings, Star started his makeup label, Jeffree Star Cosmetics in 2014 with a collection of velour liquid lipsticks. His liquid lipsticks quickly became a favorite among beauty enthusiasts and Jeffree Star followed up with highlighter palettes, eyeshadow palettes, and even clothing and accessories.
Using YouTube as a platform to promote his cosmetics products, Jeffree Star and his products have now become a household name. He currently has around 16 million subscribers, making him one of the most subscribed YouTubers in the world and one of the highest paid YouTubers in the world.
Feuds, Drama, and Controversies
At the height of his fame, Star has been involved in a few controversies with other YouTubers in the beauty community. One of his most famous feuds has been with his long-time friend Kat Von D, who he had a falling out with. Star was also involved in a highly publicized falling out with beauty YouTubers MannyMUA, Gabriel Zamora, and Laura Lee.
But perhaps one of the more prominent drama involving Star is the theft of his stock and shipping facilities was broken into. The thieves made away with numerous makeup stocks, including a then unreleased shade of Jeffree Star concealers. Jeffree Star has since been working with the authorities and with commercial litigation lawyers such as McQuarrie to arrest those responsible for the theft and sue them for damages.

Jeffree Star’s Youtube videos showcase him with a lot of luxury items such as Hermès Birkin handbags and custom supercars, all of which he owns in multiples. This may all be possible due to his highly diversified income streams. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Star’s income from his Youtube channel, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and his other investments are estimated to be $210 million.
Star’s YouTube Channel has over 16 million subscribers, and many of his videos have over 20 million views. This brings in thousands of dollars in advertising revenue each day.
Star’s Company, Jeffree Star Cosmetics Inc., markets both in the US and internationally. Star has stated that the company earns $150 Million per year, and Forbes lists the company has selling at least $100 Million annually in 2018. However, there appears to be little independent confirmation of these figures and internet rating website hoovers.com lists the companies annual earnings at $8.8 Million. Star additionally operates his music business, Popsicle Records LLC. Although, according to Star, the music business isn’t a big money maker for him.
On the other hand, Star appears to own a substantial amount of real estate.

Public records suggest that Star does appear to own a large amount of real estate including at least three multifamily properties in California, houses in Belmont, MI, Rock Hills, SC, Brea, CA and Stanton, CA. According to real estate websites Zillow and Redfin, the total market value of these properties is at least $13.7 Million. In particular, the multifamily properties are large – with all three comprising a total of at least 71 units. All of these likely produce significant cash flow for Jeffree.
California public records also show that Starr owns a Mini-cooper and he’s given extensive video interviews which shows his fabulous collection of purses and other valuable household items.
So What is Jeffree Stars net worth? We estimate between $35 and $50 Million based on the lower estimates of the cash flow of his company, his youtube revenue, rental properties and fabulous purses.
