Bert “The Machine” Kreischer is one of the biggest names in comedy in 2020. Kreischer is taking advantage of the pandemic and has begun drive-in standup shows, producing podcasts, and still making people laugh despite not being able to do live shows. Here is a look at Bert Kreischer’s net worth.
About Bert Kreischer
Bert Kreischer was born in Tampa, Fla. on November 3, 1972. His mother was a teacher and his father was a real estate attorney. Kreischer attended a private Jesuit school. After graduating, he went on to attend Florida State University where he majored in English.
During his sixth year in college, Rolling Stone did a piece on Kreischer, calling him the number one partyer at the number one party school. Much of the article recounted Kreischer’s hijinks at FSU. After the article debuted, a director looked into making a movie about Kreischer’s life. The development deal fell through but one of the writers submitted the script to National Lampoon after changing Kreischer’s name.
This film later became known as National Lampoon’s Van Wilder. In 2014, after becoming aware that the movie was based on himself, Kreischer said he’d never seen the film. He also stated he did not plan on pursuing legal rammifications for them using his story.
Kreischer’s Standup Career
If you listen to any of Bert’s stories, you may know he worked for Discovery Channel and the Travel Channel for quite some time. This isn’t what has really defined his career though. Kreischer’s career has flourished on the standup comedy stage.
His very first standup performance was at Potbelly’s in Tallahassee. Eventually, he was contacted by an agent in New York City who was sent one of his sets. Then Kreischer moved to NYC and started out by working the door at the Boston Comedy Club. Within five months of moving to the city, he was offered a sitcom. Later, he was the host of Bert the Conqueror where he traveled around to different locations throughout the U.S.
He now has three standup comedy specials, two on Netflix and one on Comedy Central. You can also listen to some of his jokes and podcasts on All Things Comedy.
Bert Kreischer’s Net Worth: $3 Million
It is estimated that Bert Kreischer’s net worth is $3 million. Much of his wealth has stemmed directly from his standup career. He earns money with ticket and merchandise sales. In more recent years though, Kresicher is focusing on expanding his online presence.
In addition to his standup career, Bert has also published a book called Life of the Party: Stories of a Perpetual Man-Child, which has sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. He also has a number of endorsement deals. It is estimated he earns about $1,500 per social media post for endorsements.
Right now, Kreischer lives in Los Angeles with his wife LeAnn and their two daughters. Although many people would think a successful comedian like him would live more lavishly, they have a modest home in the area. However, like many other performers in L.A., it is possible he will look at moving to another area in the post-pandemic society. Only time will tell though.
Nothing has been able to stop “The Machine” from continuing to do standup drive-in performances. He and his good friend Tom Segura have also continued to produce podcasts. Kreischer and his wife LeAnn also run their own podcast segments as well.
