Most work weeks wear us out. We come home hungry and grumpy and not in the mood to cook. There is a plan that allows you to spend 2 hours a week preparing dinners for the whole week. Yes, it takes discipline, but people who do this rave about it.

Restaurants do this. They prep and cook things in advance and store them in the refrigerator.

On your cooking day, wash and chop all vegetables. Cook ingredients as appropriate. Cook some items until they are almost done, then finish cooking them on serving day. Also, prepare complete dishes.

7. Use Coupons and Rebates

There are many opportunities offered to save on groceries. Most people don’t take the time to use them.

Look for sale items. Watch for basket coupons or emails that might give $25 off a purchase of $50 or more. Some stores even offer store gift cards with the purchase of certain items.
